It is the dreaded word that I hate- exercise. I'm at that point where the weightloss was at a stand still, so I had to add exercise into the equation. So far, all of my weightloss has been from cutting back on calories. Exercise is one of those things that I always put off until the "next day". I'll do it when _______, insert word here. Well I have a very nice treadclimber in my basement that was collecting dust. My 39th birthday is in 5 months. My surgery date anniversary is 2 days before my birthday. I refuse to weigh over 200 pounds on my birthday!!! I AM going to get this weight off. I've been working out for the past 3 days in a row for 20 minutes a night. It feels good to be exercising. I'm going to increase to 30 minutes next week and so forth. :rolleyes:

Wow! You give me hope!:thumbup: I also cannot stand the thought of exercise. I have been fooling myself for a year now having money deducted weekly for my gym pass. I have gone once.

I have such a hard time getting motivated.. But when I do, the weight usually melts off. I just need to do it. You go girl! And thanks for sharing.. You can do this!!

that is great keep up with it ! i am just 7 days into mine still hungry but i hope when i get filled for the frist time it will help.do not give up i will be praying for you!!!!

Thanks for the support! Last night I notched it up a step and I was sore! I was really ready to give up before I was done and I just kept on. I always feel so much better after I have gotten it done. I must keep this up! :thumbup:

i am two weeks post op. i am very hungry but sticking with the plan. i am keeping my calories less than 1000 per day but i seriously lack energy. i have been told by other banders to increase my cal to 1200. my dietician, who is new to the job, told me i should not be able to eat 1000 to 1200 calories until six months!! i think she is smoking crack! i honestly believe she is talking post fill. i hope so. i depend on the help of fellow banditos to guide me through this learning process. right now i am going to go to the gym( as i have planned all day), but after reading your journal, i am getting off my arse to go now. see ya! peggy

My dietician...who is NOT new to this...told me not to concern myself with the calories - just that I:

1. MUST get 60 - 80 grams of PROTEIN in each day

2. Be at the right consistency for the week I'm in

3. Stay within the portion size for the week I'm in

4. Stay at/under 5 grams of FAT

5. Stay at/under 5 grams of SUGAR

...and NOT necessarily in that order!
