I'm about a week and 1/2 away from my band surgery and am getting very excited (and nervous too). I want to grocery shop this weekend for liquids/soft foods there I can have for the 1st few weeks post surgery and was wondering if baby food would be okay to eat?

I had asked the same question to my nutritionest and she said that u have to check the sugar in them. Cause most of them r high in sugar. So be carefull! Best of luck to u!

My Doctor would not let me, better ask, be safe than sorry. I am on clear liquids for the first week, and it is not easy.

hi, i was banded 9 days ago and the first week after surgery you need to let your stomach heal so my dr. had a list he gave me when i left the hospital that included, sugar free drinks like crystal light, sugar free jello( which i ate by the case) and, sugar free popcicles.after the third day i could have protein drinks like lo carb slim fast 3 times a day.

your dr. will let you know what you can have because all dr.'s are so different. just be ready to send someone out to the store to pick up a few things because during all the excitement you will need a "go fer" ..... good luck, and happy banding!!!
