I could just kick myself.:tounge_smile: I had my consult on Nov 13 and I was told to loose thirty pounds before the surgery. It wasn't until 1/8/09 that I started to try and loose weight and my surgery date is 2/9/09. Although I work best under pressure this may be too much pressure.:thumbup: Don't be like me, if the doctor says loose weight please start immediately. So far I have lost 10 pounds in one week 20 more to go.

How is this for motivation. If your liver is too big and fatty they CAN"T do surgery. I was told to shrink my liver absolutely NO bread, rice, potatoes or pasta! It worked and I lost 15# in 2 weeks before surgery. I still try to stick to that rule and I do except for an occasionally piece of thin pizza.

I did the same thing. I could have kicked myself if I could have gotten my foot that high. I had to lose 20 lbs. I went to the gym 5 days a week and walked every day. Drank nothing but water and tea, lots of salad, and protien shakes for breakfast, every day. You can do it. Julie.ann is right, they can't do the surgery if they can't see your stomach it sits behind your liver. Get on the ball girl, you have a couple of weeks left! Good luck1
