Ok i think i am finally there

:cool2: I think i am finally there, I have 6.1 in my band and boy oh boy, now i know what they mean when they say they can't eat bread. Boy I have tried two times to eat a bagel, yes small small bites and chew chew chew, but still it didn't work. Like isaid i did this twice and i was just toturing myself, i love bagels. maybe after toture i will stop eating them. I am a very stubborn person. Well i went up like 1 1/2 but now as of this am i am back to 215.8 to be exact. When i look at myself as of this am i actually look to me like i have lost a few pounds. Maybe this is it. Maybe i am there. I have a hard time eating just about anything. But in a way thats good because the past couple of days i have really cut back. a fav right now is sunflower seeds great to snack on and so much work you don't eat very many. also the smart food lite chedder popcorn.. YUM i know that the idea isn't to constanly eat junk but lets all face it we need to have some little splerges. Oh and the bad splurge ice cream, i only allow myself about 1 cup. BUT YUM YUM YUM. Oh and i have lite icecream whenever possible. I'll post soon.

i am sorry to say i dont think you arte running the program right there fore your sucess is limited stop get controll learn to create that same passion for the healthy items and then you will make it. i am going to be banded soon and i am going to run the program word for word and i mean it i dont care i refuse to fail, The lap band is a tool and you must work it and if not all this will be for nothing,WILLPOWER Good luck.

I understand what you mean, I too tried to eat things like bread and bagels, quite frankly I just couldn't eat them.

As far as splurges on something you like - that is normal - moderation is the key right? You are allowed to have some things in moderation - double check with your nutritionist if you really feel like you are eating something you shouldn't - but that is your choice doll )

It isn't always easy is it? I know that some times I think I have it all figured out and then some thing happens lol to screw me up and re-evaluate what I am doing :tounge_smile:

So what I am saying from one banded person to another is you are not alone and I look forward to reading more blogs :thumbup:

I think that the fist comment is a little insensitive. First they are not banded. It is easy to say you'll follow the rules to a tee when you are not in the game yet. Second you cannot live your whole life with out a few splurges. We are only human and cannot be perfect all the time. A few splurges are not going to hurt your chances of succes but help your sanity.

Because lets face it once you banded you are not normal anymore. If you want to enjoy some ice cream with the family once a week that is ok, or some birthday cake on a special occasion. Or maybe there's just one thing that is hard for you to give up because it's your favorite. As long as your making healthy choice in every other area then youll be just fine.
