So here is my deal.

 My Insurance through my healthcare provider said NO, DENIED, as they do not cover obesity surgical procedures. I cannot afford to Selfpay and my credit was denied for a Loan towards this. Where do i even go now? What do i do? Has anyone had this problem or known someone? I am sooo lost and discouranged. I am getting heavier and no matter what i do especially now with the stress over this, i wont stop growing. Please advise....Any help will be greatly approeciated. I am shopping for individual coverage, hoping for the best!

Try another credit company, and do you have someone who would co-sign with you, or might sign for you?

I was wondering if you ever found a way to have the lap band? I'm in the same boat and don't know were to turn.

contact your human resources department - demand that they add an obesity clause for coverage in your health insurance! They are the ones that excluded it. They do this to pay lower premiums. In the long run though, from all the health issues associated with obesity, they'll actually be paying more. It makes no sense to exclude it.
