Well today Jan 4th I am 1 month post op from Lap Band Surgery and I am down 36 pounds!!! I'm really excited about it. My clothes are getting lose, and everyone is commenting me at work. I feel so much better about myself. I'm going to give myself a Valentines Day challenge to lose another 14 pounds. This way I will be 50 pounds even! Its funny how when you are so obese, it seems like you will never lose your first 10 pounds. But now that the weight is comming off, I can say and finally believe that I CAN do this. I will post pictures up as soon as I can. yay me!!!

Hi, new here, my first appt for surgery will be Friday. Finally have insurance coverage.

When I read this tonight, I started shaking inside and began to cry. I couldnt imagine that feeling of losing weight, of having hope. It was almost too much for me.

Thanks

Wow thanks so much for your comment! It makes me feel so good that I am inspiring people. But yes, at one point I was really depressed and lost all of my ambition. I was really hard on myself and I was in denial for a long time that I really needed help. It wasn't until I was ok with admitting that I needed help and getting the lap band. It didn't mean that I had given up and taken the easy way out. It was just the opposite. I was trying to do something to help save my life! Once I was ok with that, it all fell in place. I thank God for my band. I needed the constant "personal trainer" I like to call it. Well the rest is history from that day and today I am DOING IT. Before I was just dreaming of even getting started. Let me know if I can help you all in any way I can about the Lap Band. Im pretty new with this system as I am only one month Post Op. But it is has done wonders in improving my life thus far. God Bless and good luck.
