I have surgery schedule for Dec.17th it has been such a long wait. I can say one thing it is hard to just be on liquids and it is only day 1.:biggrin:

Trust me I know what you mean!! But you can do it!! I've been on liquids for a week and one day. I'm just trying to lose a few more to reach my goal by 1/11/09. It is hard in the beginning, but I'm hanging with it. And I actually don't want any solids until Christmas Eve. So far I have lost 7 pounds.... so hang on in there!

Hang in there! It get's easier. I had my surgery on Dec 11th and am in the post-op liquid diet stage now. The first day of liquid was the hardest. I was STARVING around 1:30 - 2:00. I kept pushing the liquids, popsicles & jello. The next couple of days were better. I peed myself to death !!! This was a reeassurance that I was cleaning out my system. On the 3rd day I had a bad headache and the runs. After that, the rest of the week was pretty easy. Now 3 days post-op, I haven't been hungry yet. Keep a log ...... that's the best way to stay in control. Hang in there .... it'll be worth it !!
