Okay well for those of you who been keeping tabs on me know that Im keeping this a secret one cause ppl know i work out like crazy and my sudden weight loss will not be a surprize to them the will think wow she found the missing link!! But how ever Im in a long distance military relitonship, and Im hiding it from him untill totally neccassary. Like we get married and he needs to know medically. One for the fact that when we met I was super skinny and two he is a soldier so i hear him talk of his soldiers badly for getting out of shape!!!! He never gives me any reason to feel badly about my weight at all! He always said more to love but he knows how it bugs me... Any ways So my girlfriend in florida said her and her hubby were lying on the couch cuddling and he felt a knot on her waitst and freaked out like what is that!!! He knew of the surgery but he port poked out like knot!!! So WHERE IS THE BEST LEAST NOTICABLE PLACE TO HAVE IT ?????

I did a thread in the General Forum "Where would you move your port?" for similar reasons. I've come to the conclusion from reading that ontop of your ribs or breastbone is bad (apparently some docs like to anchor to cartilage instead of muscle...I'm sure it would flip less there as they say, but as one gal said she had a "third boob") but an inch or two below is OK. Also it's bad to be right in line where most of your pant waistlines hit or even just right above. I'm planning to ask for mine to be centered (or a little off) and an inch or two below my ribs/breastbone. I'm also going to ask about the 'low profile port' if not immediately, then later on maybe.

I didn't get a choice, My surgeon made the decision, but I can't even find it when I look for it. Of course, I'm still swollen from surgery and I still have fat on my stomach, but I was poking around and couldn't find it. You could always say you have an abnormal rib cage..lol

Im coundint down the days till surgery Im excited but yet kinda nervous..you usually dont fee the port till you get at the lower end of you weight loss journey when your leaner
