So this is my first blog...I was so excited to have this surgery. I had waited 4 years to find an insurance company to approve it. Finally, they did!! Yeah! I surgery on October 7, 2008. The first two weeks were hard and I was in a lot of pain, but I had my husband and son to support me. Two weeks out I had lost 12 pounds. Then it kinda slowed down as I added things into my diet. I work two jobs so finding time to exercise has been a challenge. Well...last week on friday my husband decided that he didn't love me anymore and we split.:cursing: I was crushed (still am), but it gave me a new lease on life on top of the one I got from having the surgery. Since then I have lost 11 pounds. I'm taking it one day at a time and staying focused. If anyone has any advice I am open. It feels good to be able to talk about what is going on with others who understand.

Back on topic..I haven't had a soda in 5 weeks. There was a time when I didn't go a day without one. I am amazed how much more I enjoy water now. I think that hardest part has been not to eat fast. With a busy life style I have had to slow way down. I want to lose 80 pounds before my 10 year high school reunion this coming summer. This is day one!!!

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.
    • I'm literally almost crying reading this. Mostly because I'mon this pre-op diet and these last two days have been difficult... but also because I needed this! Thank you! Congrats! And a BIG congrats on quitting smoking a second time! It was hard enough to do it once... So - when I say BIG congrats... I mean BIIIIIG congrats! ❤️

      Einarmige Banditen
