Ok I just got a book "Weight loss surgery for dummies" and it makes me nervous how you change so many things about your life. I just keep thinking if I could change all those things I wouldn't need the surgery but, I know this is a tool to help me with the change. I think Im just getting nervous because it is getting closer to my surgery date. Besides there are a lot of good changes also. The biggest one is being healthy for a change. My kids are young and I have 2 grandkids and I want to be able to play with them!

The number #1 decision maker for me was that I was going to be healthier. I was taking alot of medications and now I am off all of them. You have young children and grandchildren. You want to be around and able to have just as much energy as the kids and enjoy them. Your life will change for the better. I feel so good, I can't even explain it.

Do you have support groups in your area? If so, go to the meetings and get the information you need. I wish you the best! When is your date?

Thank you. I have my first meeting Sep. 30. My surgery is scheduled for Oct. 21.
