Ok, so waiting...as we all know that part sucks the most....especially when youre calling your surgeons office three times a day for three weeks just to find out if they have anything on your insurance to see if you have infact been approved or if youre still waiting......I knew nothing, all I know is that August 20th I went to see Dr. Snyder and I heard nothing after that. Finally! Finally I heard from Dolly, who deals with the insurance in the office. Come to find out they were late getting back my Dictation from the Doc. I was a tad furious...but the best part was that she said she was sending my insurance stuff in MONDAY! So. then of course as inpatient as I am I politely asked her..."how long is it going to take now after you have submitted my paperwork?" she mentioned it usually takes 30 days which is fine suprisingly because at least I know whats going on but she made me even more excited when she said " In your case it shouldnt take that long to get you approved!":thumbup: thats basically the face I had lol when she told me that on the phone.

I am going to Disneyland first week of October with my bf and son...and Im hoping I hear something either by the time I get back, or there soon after to set up my appt for surgery.

Ive been waiting for this moment forever! I cant wait till next year when I celebrate being able to actually ride the rides at Disney and anywhere else. This time around im just going to have to enjoy the smile on my sons face when he finds out that where taking him:lol:

I so understand the waiting gaem.....but I called my insurance several times. Once to make sure that they had gotten my paperwork, 3-4 days later to see if it was pending and how long.....then again 3-4 days later and it had been approved. After I got the ok from the insurance I waited a day or two to call the Dr., now there they did tell me that we don't have the paper of approval. Well that didn't make me to happy, so the message I left was that I had spoken with the ins. and they had approved on such and such date and it was 6 days later (including weekend). The Dr.s office did call the insurance and called me back with a date 9/19/08.

I want you to enjoy your trip to Disneyland with your bf & son. My husband ask me to marry him 9yrs(10/1) ago at Disney World and we go back every year.....the one thing I am looking forward to is our 10th ann., we are taking a Disney Cruise...I want to climb a rock wall, and ride all the ride when we get to Disney World. So I SO WISH you the BEST. I love DISNEY & I love my FAMILY and want to be able to spend lost more time with them at this Magical place. Even take the grand kids one day.

Hey, so I didn't notice this blog til now. That makes me SO MAD. I love Dr Snyder but I really am turned off by both Dolly and the front desk girl scheduler or whatever, Corinna. It really pisses me off it took Dolly ONE MONTH from your consult to the day she submitted your paperwork, that's my worst nightmare. I almost want to say, How Dare You?! When it's so important! She told me my dictation would be done within 10 days, and to call in two weeks to check on it. So that will be on Wednesday when I make that call, and I am going to FREAK OUT if she has not submitted my dictation! I also believe my insurance has a 48 hour window where they have to respond, so I am praying that will be the truth. I also went on and on about how this is my third try at this with a third insurance, and kinda fibbed that I needed to do it soon because of a break in school, and kept complimenting her big jewelry (LOL), and she said something about how she would get it dictated faster and circled it and put a sticky note on it about it (yeah right...) It's all just such SUCH a nightmare!! The worst part is is that I know they could just submit it on the same DAY as our consults, but they have so much business they don't have to be timely with us at all, because they know how desperate we all are...*sigh* I definitely think they need like THREE-FOUR insurance people and a few more front desk people. They are so busy, they could afford it right? They are hiring on their website, but only for a Nurse Practitioner...Well, at least now you know that your insurance has the paperwork and it's in their hands now (even worse? lol) Keep me posted, I am thinking and praying for you every day!!
