I Suck at Blogging

Wow, I really do suck at blogging. A lot has happened since I had my endoscopy.

On August 15th, I met with my surgeon (finally), and he thought I was a good candidate for surgery. He was happy that I'd already dropped 20 lbs and thinks I can drop another 10 prior to surgery. He then scheduled me for September 17th.

At that point, I was told that it would be a few weeks before I heard anything from my insurance company. To my surprise, the following Saturday I received a letter in the mail saying that my insurance company would cover the lap-band surgery. WOW!!!! My family was like - that was fast - are you worse off than you've been telling us!?

I'm now relieved and nervous all at the same time. I can't wait to get the surgery, but scared to death as well, which I guess is pretty normal.

To get me prepared for surgery, I bought some children's silverware from Oneida. Ironically, the children's silverware is actually the same size as the small silverware that comes with IKEA silverware sets.

Yesterday, I started my two shakes a day routine to lead up to my surgery. Day One went OK, I just ended up eating dinner late (9:00PM), so I thought I was going to gnaw my arm off.
