Hi Michelle,

How did you found out that your stomach prolapsed? Did you have any symptoms that lead to this discovery? I am experiencing problems of my own and am scared to death. I had my 2nd fill 2 1/2 weeks ago and haven't been able to eat solids. two nights ago I woke up around 4:15 am with pain in the middle of my back and belly around. Everytime I tried to swallow saliva I would feel a pulling burning sensation in my back. I went to the doc when the office opened and they did an unfill and I am scheduled for an upper GI. Now I am scared that something bad may have happened and I now have stomach aches. Please share with me on any symptoms you've had and how you found out. I am sorry that I am unable to relate to you right now and provide any advice, but I am hoping that your experience will give me some insight.

I would appreciate it.

I too had to have my band replaced. I was vomiting and had pains worse than gall bladder (which was removed too) The surgeon blamed the prolapse on the vomiting, but I blame the vomiting on the prolapse. At this point I had lost 118 pounds and told everyone after my second surgery it only took a week to loose that amount. Ha Ha.

Second surgery was fine, and came home the next morning. The only thing is is that it is hard getting mentally back into the liquid/mushy/small portion mental mode. You will do fine, and I wish you well.

Fran,

Thanks for the vote of support and I am hoping for the same results you have..I thought about going to bypass but just too damn afraid of that surgery...may be that is silly but I need to be ok with it...I agree the liquid, mushy, will be rough for those 5 weeks...however, I do remember getting a little more creative in the end with soups and unjury powder so should be ok....Thanks for the success story.
