I've never done this before so here it goes. I'm 1 week post op and yesterday I felt like I had turned a corner. I have little pain left under my incision though my skin is still numb. I ate an egg (substitute) today and boy was it tasty. Even 45 minutes later, cold, it still was good. It felt good to chew. I've reviewed my diet and am not getting enough protein in. I bought Herbal Life protein drink and started on that instead of Carnation. It has 30 more calories but way more protein. I drank them pre-banding to help loose weight. Back then I could make it with ice and add different flavors. I'll have to get use to the taste without the extra.

I'm finding that hunger feeling now and again. Is that normal? I'm worried my band isn't tight enough. Is anyone else experiencing that? Well I hope I get some responses. As I said, I've never blogged before. :smile2:

yes, it is normal to feel some hunger...you will not have restriction until after your fill...some get no restriction until after 2 or 3 fills....just hang in there...and please....follow your doctors instructions...if he/she says not to eat anything solid, then don't...I have seen where more lapband patients just ignore the doctors orders and then are so disappointed that they don't lose the weight...

Hi Canna, sounds like your doing great! Not sure about the hunger pains? My dr gives fill at time of surgery. Iam 2 post op and have 4cc's in a 10cc band. Iam going next sat for another fill! He's quite aggressive so I feel NO hunger. Try to get all your protein in. Its SO important. Protein drinks will also help you feel full and satisfied.

Keep up the good work
