Hi, I am new to blogging and am new to lap-band. So this will be a total learning experience. I have an endoscopy procedure tomorrow and I can't say I am looking forward to that, but, it's the last test before my final doctor's appointment next week. Surgery is scheduled for the 28th. I am looking forward to that because I am sick of being fat. I am 61 and I have Crohn's disease. So I am looking forward to hearing from anyone around my age or someone who has Crohn's and has gone through this procedure.

Hi. I am 56 and was banded on the 11th. So far everything is going great. I do not have Chrohn's, but I wanted to let you know I hope all goes well for you too.

I know how you feel. I want to live again. I want to go and go and go. I am tired of being tired and not feeling like going out and enjoying life. Take care and good luck. :thumbup:

Thanks for the good thoughts. You know you get to the point that you will do just about anything to lose weight. My doctor said at "my age" I can't expect to lose all the weight I want to lose. He says that people in this age group are not as motivated in following the program and don't exercise enough. I may not lose as much as my young friend has ( 140 lbs since last Sept.) but I know I will lose more than he thinks I can. Did your doc tell you anything like this? He doesn't have a lot of personality but he has had a lot of experience which is much more important. I also think sometimes they throw this out there to see if it scares you away.
