:crying:I am going through the first phase of getting prepared for my Lapband. I must admit that I am gaving a lot of different feelings, but I guess everyone else has experienced the same. I know that it is the best thing for me and I am going to need a very strong support base. My family is very supportive but I need support from all of you out there who have undergone the surgery.

Keep me in your prayers as I go through the process and with the surgery.:cool2:

You'll do just fine! I had mine in May and it wasn't that bad at all. The preop diet was no fun...

Good luck on your new adventure!

It's normal to have mixed emotions.

We all have said..."are we doing the right thing." I am 5 days out and the pre diet was the hardest for me. After banding, you aren't hungry, just wanting to crunch. During the pre diet, I was dying to eat..not so much now. Good luck.

I had my surgery six weeks ago and I feel like I have had this tool for ages. I am scheduled for my first fill on July 7th and I am sure it will be much different after that because there will be more restriction. For me, the worst part was the two days before surgery (prepping is not a fun experience), waiting to go into surgery (late afternoon so a long wait), and the first time getting out of bed at the hospital was dicey. After that, it has been all downhill. I hit a plateau after losing 23 lbs but that has broken and now I am down another 6 lbs. I already look and more importantly feel better. I finally believe that I can lose the weight and keep it off for the rest of my life and that is a great feeling!
