Hi not sure if anyone smokes weed on here..i dont smoke ciggys or drink as much but i am a fan of marijuana.. would it still be okay to smoke weeed before, and after surgery or do I have to quit completely? :cool:

Ummm....I'm going to say NO GO on smoking at all!!

Reason #1 and most important...THE MUNCHIES ARE BAD after you have been banded! It defeats the entire process you are going through. I don't mean to sound harsh but thinking this way is going to be one of the things you HAVE to change to make your band successfull.

There is a reason they have legalized smoking in some areas for cancer patients...it makes them eat. Just say no to the green stuff!

I think smoking in general is not good in regards to surgery. You want your lungs in the best shape possible. Your Dr and the anesthesiologist will tell you not to.

I also second the munchie bit. there are threads about this on the main boards.

ohok yeah i figured everyone would say no.. i know i need to get over it to move forward with this.. i mean my weight goes above everything else. i hope i can quit.. i will have to ..ill check out the other boards didnt see them.. but im new at this too thanks for you response you guys
