:crying: I had lapband surgery Fri Apr 18th. It will be 2 weeks on Friday. Holy cow. I am already starting to eat regular foods. I chew chew chew really good and the good news is that I get full sooo QUICK, I am just afraid. I know I am still healing and scar tissue is forming. I haven't gotten sick or thrown up which I know is a huge deal not to do at least in the first 2 months. Has anyone else indulged too soon post-op? Was your doctor totally upset? Is anyone out there that had band slippage or had the top part of their pouch stretched out. I feel so disappointed with myself. I was doing well. I was down 10 pounds just one week after surgery. I guess this is the kind of selfishness is what got me to be overweight in the first place. Is there anyone else out there like me?

Keywestgirl, no you aren't the only one who has done this, I'm sure. What I would do though, is stop it now and follow your post-op instructions until you get to the point of being able to eat regular food. All of us who have had this surgery have food addiction in common. If I were you, I would get the stuff that I really like on the diet (I love the sugar-free jello & leave it out to room temp & the sugar-free popsicles). You can have as much of this as you want. Also, stop thinking about food all the time & occupy yourself with something else. I had my surgery on March 5, 2008. I have lost 26 lbs. so far w/one adjustment. I could do so much better if I would exercise more. That is my problem. I hate to exercise!!!! Remember: Eat to live NOT live to eat. Mary

I have a surgery date for May 20, and already am dreading the post op diet, the liquid part, I don't see how anyone has the strength to move, let alone get up and go to work. I'm a home health nurse which requires alot of driving, and concentration. I hope can make it thru.
