Dear Plumpy Pad,

Last night I began my exercise plan! I went to the pool and swam laps, I had my husband time me to see how long I could swim for... and did laps for 20 minutes! Then I hooked onto the side of the pool and just kicked for another 10 minutes.

My plan is to go swimming 5 days a week, and hopefully build up my stamina so that I am swimming for longer and longer periods of time!

Now this all sounds well and good, but I have a history of making exercise plans that I then quickly abandon due to my excessive laziness... I am demanding that I actually follow through this time!! DEMANDING!!

Only 11 days until I next jump on a scale... I am mega excited to see the progress 2 weeks can make!

Good for you!!!!! You've gotten farther than I have. I'm starting my diet/exercise next Monday when I go for my consult. I think that then I could lose weight and not worry about not qualifying with Tricare for coverage.

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.
    • I'm literally almost crying reading this. Mostly because I'mon this pre-op diet and these last two days have been difficult... but also because I needed this! Thank you! Congrats! And a BIG congrats on quitting smoking a second time! It was hard enough to do it once... So - when I say BIG congrats... I mean BIIIIIG congrats! ❤️
    • Congratulations! What a great journey! Thank you so much for sharing. You are inspiring!
