The port is the largest in the middle - directly above my belly button. (which you can't see due to all the swelling) yeah - thats why you can't see it :-)

now that is a reality check for me - or it could be that my stomach is churning and my head is flipping because I can barely tolerate the sight of my own blood, let alone someone elses. the second photo looks like you're healing nicely. thanks for the insight.

Thanks so much for putting your scar picture's up! I don't know anyone who has had it done, and I've been wondering what it was going to look like. How do they look now? Any pictures???(: I get my surgery date on Thursday (June 26th, 2008), I'm really excited.

I'm so glad I found your blog and I'm really enjoying!

Take Care,

Helen

Thank you! I love the idea that someone reads my Blog. I will take some pics tonight and try to post tomorrow. Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. What an exciting time! Take lots of before pictures - when you start losing, you can see it so much better in pictures.

I just had my surgery on October 1st and my surgeon was able to do only one incision on my belly button. You can't even see a scar. For those of you who are about to have surgery, ask about the bendable instruments and one incision.
