I am scheduled for the band this week, I am very nervous, I am on a pre-op liquid diet and was wondering if everyone out here had to follow the same pre-op diet?:redface:

Hello, I just joined tonight. I am also having surgery this week. I do not have to be on the liquid diet, just eat very light the day before surgery.

I had my lapband on Jan.16 2008 and I had a liquid diet the day before surgery and have been on a liquid diet since. I will move onto oatmeal and mashed potatoes on Tuesday of this week.

My pre op was for two weeks. It was two protein drinks (breakfast & lunch) then 6 oz lean meat and a veggie for dinner.

I have seen several different postings on all the different pre ops that are required. Each surgeon is different.
