It is 6 days until my surgery. Dr. Spivak doesn't really require a post op diet, only no red meat and pasta 72 hours before surgery. I am getting a little anxious. I'm eating things I didn't even eat before, I guess I'm panicing. I'm also scared I won't loose much weight.

Why does he recommend no red meat or pasta?

I am using Dr Collier in the Woodlands area

and he puts his patients on a low fat diet with

high protein to get the fat off the liver. I was just wondering b/c my surgery is coming up as well. I have never heard of the red meat thing?
