Invisible Weight Loss

Ok I have lost 44lbs in just over 3 months. I am very happy with this but.... no one seems to notice. I am in smaller size clothing, my face looks noticibly slimmer, but none of my co-workers have commented. I find this totally amusing. I didn't tell anyone but my boss that I was having the surgery and I was worried what I would tell my co-workers if they asked how I was losing weight but... again nobody notices. Guess I shouldn't have worried in the first place, however I better go purchase some new undies because the old ones are getting so loose that I'm afraid they might fall down.(I bet they'd notice that!) I am usually the one that comments nice haircut or outfit to the others so maybe they truely don't notice anything. I'm hoping to have lost 50lbs before my next doc visit, maybe someone will notice by then.

They notice but some may not say anything just because there jealous. If you looking good who cares what they say. Keep up the good work.

They might not notice... They might notice but are afraid to say anything... No worries, you do this for you. Me, I have the opposite problem. I've lost 80+ pounds and I still seem to look the same to me despite what others say...

In my experience after going back to work (I work at a middle school, had the summer off), I notice that a few women have made positive comments, BUT, only a handful. As far as men, NONE of them have said a word and I think it's because they know that they could say something that may come out wrong or get them in trouble, like, "Oh, you lost weight, you look really good now!" As if I didn't before? LOL They know there is no winning either way, so they just say nothing. YOU notice and that's more important than anyone else!

Happy admiring yourself day! :D

i agree with FRED1977! I noticed that if I wore new clothes within the couple of months after surgery, no one would say anything. But if I happened to wear old clothes that were noticeably too big, i would get all the comments in the world. Keep your head above all that and keep looking at the finish line for yourself :)

I'm 8 weeks out and have lost 44 lbs. I have my two youngest grandsons sleep over every Friday night. They are 4 and 5. Each weekend, without fail, the 5 year old says, "Grandma, you're still fat." So after I took them home this afternoon, I walked 2.2 miles around the lake in the pouring rain! I may still be fat, but I'm determined to see the day he won't be able to tell me that anymore! LOL
