Have you tried other means of losing weight. You are what we call a light weight. Do you have diabetes, high blood pressure etc? You have to be ready to change your eating life completely. The sleeve is only a tool. The first six months you can eat very little 600-1000 over the 6 month period. When you have lost all your weight you will be able to increase it and this is when you stabilize at your right weight.

You say what happens in 5 years, that is totally up to you. If you go back to your old eating ways you will regain. It is not easy and is a life long process.

Hi Regner, I am also pre-op. My surgery is on June 26. If you are new here, there are tons of threads and forums and I have bonded with several people already....have fun with it, some of the people are funny and sarcastic, but everyone is here to share and help! Only you can decide if it is the right decision for you but for me I have no doubts. I have researched it for a long time and most things and people are very positive. There will always be that one exception....but if you have had 3 children, this will be a cinch!! :-) Good luck...see you on the boards!-Brenda
