On Monday June 3rd I had the scope down. and my surgery was set for June 17th. My Dr informed me that he found 50 plus ulcers in my stomach so now I have to take some medicine to get the ulcers cleared up and im rescheduled for another scope on June 24th then my new surgery date is July 1st. So I am praying that the ulcers are gone so that i can have the surgery done. Feeling a little overwhelmed and kinda stressed out! anyone know of any ways to get rid of ulcers? Im taken my meds but hoping there are some foods or something that will also help! So i can make sure these are gone!

I guess you are on antibiotics. When I had ulcers a long time ago you drank milk and did not eat anything hard to digest. Just my experience.

I know its frustrating having to wait for the surgery, but be glad they found it. I'm an Endoscopy nurse and a recent sleeve patient. What meds do they have you on? The ulcers will clear up with proper antibiotics and prescription strenth ppi's. If left untreated they could cause pre-cancerous cells leading to cancerous cells over time if undetected. It was a blessing you decided to have this surgery. Also after your sleeve when you have only 15-20% of your stomach left, most of the areas that are ulcer prone will be removed so reoccurence of the ulcers are unlikely. Look at this as a good thing. It could be worse my husband went in to be sleeved 2 weeks ago and when preping for the surgery they found a heart arrythmia on his EKG. He was soooo dissapointed. Again we are so lucky he decided to have the surgery because we had no idea. Now he is getting treatment, under control, and will be sleeved in one month.
