I was wondering if anybody had this my primary said it came from the fast weight lost. I can't feel the side of my legs from the knee to my foot. The foot doctor says it may be and injury from exercise please help and how do I get better.

My mom got this from knee replacement surgery. That has been worse on her than the surgery. It is nerve damage so I am not sure if it will get any better. It has not for her.

Uh oh; you are suffering from a neurological side effect of the surgery, stemming from a vitamin/nutrient deficiency. Call your doctor immediately and consider seeing a neurologist. Rapid weight loss can cause a myriad of neurological problems. Many times, supplementing the deficient vitamin or mineral will stop further progression in its tracks. I know this because I am having VSG surgery in July and I have multiple sclerosis, a neurological disease that destroys the nervous system. Foot drop is very common in MS. WLS is risky for MS patients, but the benefits are worth the risks to me. Fortunately, VSG surgery is typically easier on MSers (and everyone else, for that matter) than a gastric bypass, because the vits/mins have a better chance of being absorbed in the stomach. Please call your doctor and tell him/her about your symptoms. I wish you an easy and speedy recovery.
