Subs

MISSING SUBWAY TODAY. I used to go to subway 3 times a week. I would kill for an italian BMT on italian herbs and cheese bread. I hope these cravings go away. I don't want to fight this battle my whole life.

Anybody ever have a sub post-op? What month?

Not a sub, I was given a whole wheat bread sandwich at work about week 6 - roast beef, lettuce, tomato and mayo. My stomach did not like some part of it. After the 1st bite, my stomach was bubbling and cramping - not anything bad, just enough to make me stop eating.

Bread is hard for many to eat. I am over 6 months and don't know if/when I will ever try bread. Crunchy crackers are good but soft breads/pasta, maybe not.

I had a three inch veggy delight on flatbread two days ago. I didn't really finish even that small of an amount and I didn't have protein with it so it was kinda bad but dang it was good. I'm 47 days post op

I am 8 weeks post op. I bought the Kirkland brand multi grain flat rounds . I toasted it and made chicken salad, put a tomato slice and two slices of avocado

It was the first sandwich I had since before surgery, ate 3/4 of it and it tasted damn good. No problems after:) I think the key is to toast it so its not doughy.
