Sometimes this happens to me. Took a stool softner which seemed to help get things moving.

My doctor suggested a small dose of milk of magnesia. Worked like a charm!

ended up calling dr today and he said to take 2 TBLS. of milk of Mag. finally had relief....Hopefully scale will now start moving again!

I have been having major issues with constipation over the last 2 months......I make sure I exercise 5 times a week, drink water, add fiber to my diet...and nothing seem to be working. The only way I would have a bowel movement is if I do something drastic like taking chewable ex-lax, Stool softeners, using an enema, drinking Epson salt and water, or suppositories. Finally I decided to go to the Doctor today and she gave me a prescription for Linzess.LINZESS™ (linaclotide) is a prescription medication used in adults to treat irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C) and chronic idiopathic constipation (CIC). "Idiopathic" means the cause of the constipation is unknown...Hopefully this will do the trick. I have noticed over the last month my weight loss has stop, I’m thinking it’s because of my constipation.....But If you continue to have problems consult your Doctor.

That has been my problem lately too. I am four weeks post-op. The week I started puree the bms stopped. I went 5 days without a bm. And OMG--- I had a terrible time in the bathroom. So I am taking a stool softner 2 times a day now which still don't really soften like i had hoped. I am doing my best to get 64oz of fluids in. Just yesterday I bought Miralax. It worked so well. I have not asked my doc about it yet. But at my appointment next week - it will be first order of business. DRink as much water as you can. Good luck.
