Well, it's been 2.5 weeks after my sleeve, and it's been interesting. Yeah I want to eat less, lose weight, and stay healthy, but what a bummer. I'm still "eating" liquids, and it's getting old. Today I tried to eat some sushi (raw fish) thinking it would be soft and easy on my stomach, and today I puked for the first time. It was pretty violent. Worse than I was expecting. My body needs meat. I'm starving, but surprisingly not that hungry. I just get meat cravings every now and then. Some buyer's remorse too. Went to a birthday party, and realized how much I miss pizza. I know I have a new stomach, and I don't feel like eating a whole pizza, but it'll be 5 more months until I can even try it.

Are you getting your 70-90 gm of protein in a day? A why do you have to wait 5 more months before you can try a pc of pizza? I can start solids one month post op as long as I introduce new foods slowly.

It's true about 5 - 7 weeks out u can try new foods. I made a huge turkey chili

for SUPERBOWL and I had a 1/4 of that and thought I died and went to

heaven:) also have been making all kinds of baked fish in the toaster oven.

I have tried chicken to with no problem. I love chicken salad. So just try something different each day and stick with what works. The key is to eat slow and

chew real good. It won't be 5 months don't worry:)

I had a similar experience but only had to be on the liquid diet for 1 weeks. When I got to have a scrambled egg I was sooooooooo excited but it sat on my stomache like lead. This went on for another 4 weeks. Low-fat Cottage cheese, vegetarian refried beans, applesauce, cream of wheat and mash potatoes truly helped. I not good with plain yougurt I was told that canned chicken and tuna add low fat mayo was the best. Each food you have to introduce slowly and 1/8- 1/4 cup max. YOU HAVE TO DRINK AT LEAST 70 GRAMS OF PROTEIN to help with the meat cravings. I did eat a small slice of pizza during my 4th week when my daughter came home from college that weekend. Low Fat string cheese also is a treat. 4th week turkey, fish, lean chicken, shrimp & crab meat. Veggie and some fruit too. So hang in there.
