Can you up your carbs to where you start gaining and then hold it there? That is what I worry about to, my Dr. wants me at 150 but honestly I think I'd look sickly at that weight. I'd be happy with 180.

Wow, reading your story has given me something to think about , I have lost about 42 lbs , since my surgery Nov 13 , 2012 . I am feeling really good about myself , especially when I wear smaller clothing . I am able to wear a regular misses size XL and size 18 , It feels so unreal when I go into the woman plus size section and realize that everything looks so big now. I am 195 lb now and my goal is 140 ( what I weight when i was first married , back in 1991) I hope that i reach that goal ..... but I pray that I don't lose anymore than that , because I know I will look sick.

I hope that I have not offened anyone on this site or hope that I am not sounding like I am complaining and being a brat but I really never thought I would be at this place in my life where I feel like I have lost too much weight. I feel uncomfortable when certain people I know make comments like "ok stop now, please don't lose anymore" or "I swear every time I see you, you look smaller and smaller"

Eating more is not working for me, the problem is I can't get in enough food to put on any pounds. I guess I have no other choice but to let it run it's course, I have been doing research and I have read that you lose your most weight within the 1st yr after surgery then MOST people gain back at least 15-20 lbs.

I think you should start with higher calorie meal replacements that is also high in protein.They are higher in carbs and help with weight gain.My 76 year lod father had stomach surgery and he cannot eat.The meal replacements have helped him put on 10 pounds and he has kept it on.He drinks 2 meal replacements a day as snacks 2,5 hours after his small meal.

You dont have to eat more food.There are lots of people,especially older people,that cannot eat and they do fine on meal replacements in addition to their food.

Why don't you work with a dietitian to see what you can do? Unless you got your surgery in Mexico, you should have this already built into your treatment plan.

Not feeling like yourself happens on both sides, and even if she did have her surgery in Mexico here PCP can refer her to a nutritionist
