My husband would like to have a baby. I have had two miscarriages before my surgery the last one

was really bad. I have PCOS and if I lose weight I have a greater chance to have a baby. Now

that I'm getting smaller my husband getting more ready. I'm not even 2 months post op yet.

One of the issues is that your body is still getting used to this change and your body needs all the vits (prob more) that you are taking in. If you get pregnant now, your body would not give up any nutrients for the baby and the baby definitely needs them. I would most certainly consult with your Dr. and nutritionist. Tell hubby you will just have to keep practicing for the time being. Practicing is fun too! :)

I agree that you should wait. I know I definitely am not taking in enough nutrients for one, let alone two, yet and I'm about as far out as you. I know it's hard when you want one so bad and the husband is on you too (my husband is really on me right now - we miscarried right before surgery). I keep telling my husband that we have to wait because as much as it hurts to wait, it'd hurt more to lose another because my body can't sustain a pregnancy or to give birth to an unhealthy baby. The time really will pass before you know it and right now just concentrate on making a healthy nest for your baby to grow :-)

I saw someone on here that did do this accidentally 4 months post op. There are huge issues with this as a-you can barely consume 800 calories a day right now, and a pregnant woman needs to consume about 1800 a day. Also, you need to give your body time to adjust and I would think (in my opinion) it would be a huge risk to you and your baby if you did this. I want to get pregnant too, but I am not planning to do so until fall of this year, or almost a year from surgery.

I want the pounds to stay off!!! :)

It was a part of the agreement that I signed with my surgeon that I would not try to get pregnant for at least a year after surgery. Not that it matters at my age but it's something he's very adamant about.
