Make sure you request a date before the end of the year because most surgeons take extended vacations during the holidays. I was approved on Oct 3rd (I think) and initially, they scheduled my date for Jan 10th due to the holidays. I said, uh uhh...get me in there tomorrow if you can. LOL! I couldn't bear the thought of having to wait additional 3 months. So they scheduled me for Oct 17th at 7am (the surgeon usually starts @9).

Just a something for you to think about.

Sending good thoughts your way! I know how nerve wrecking this whole process is, my nerves are officially shot lol, but you're SO close to the end of it all! I was given an approximate surgery date that fell through- twice- and then finally a tentative date before I had insurance approval which I was scared wouldn't happen in enough time (Did and I was just approved today!)....so I totally get all the emotions, and yo yoing a person goes through. Fingers crossed you get your date very soon!

You are not alone in your frustration and anxiety. I am jumping thru those same hoops. For example, why do I have to have a psych eval when I already have a shrink that cleared me for surgery????? Just keep jumping :)
