Two Weeks Down!

Alright friends! I have been home now for two weeks, I am so happy that I was approved for three weeks off!!

I am starting to feel much better, I am still struggling with the 6 inch wound and that healing process is a lot slower than I would have anticipated, however, it does get better each day!

I am starting to feel better every day, sleeping is still a struggle, however the dr. said it will take about 8 weeks before I can lay on my belly. (I am a belly sleeper) so I struggle laying on my back! Each time I had a laporscopic surgery it took 6 weeks before I could lay on my belly so 8 weeks isnt bad for the open procedure!

This week I made a vow to keep busy and NO naps during the day since I have to go back to work next week! This ma be harder than I think but I have to get back to normal sooner or later!

Hope everyone is doing good!

:)

Angela

I will be 4 wks tomorrow and I am a belly sleeper. I actually slept on my belly within a week. I had to be very careful but I was able to do it. I still have bruises on my belly but the incisions are almost healed all the way. The bigger incision still has a scab but it's getting there. I started with sleeping on my side and then woke up on my stomach. I am still careful getting up and doing my cleaning around the house. I don't want or need a hernia. Last week I came back to work and felt FABULOUS!!! I too stayed active the third week in prep for the work week. It definitely helped... Good luck with sleeping and getting back to the swing of things! Stay blessed!

I am ten days out from surgery(10/25) and I am down 21 pounds, I feel great. I can lay on my stomach when up and aware but a sudden move in that position still feels sore. I had laparoscopic surgery. Otherwise, I am back at work already (desk job), getting up to walk around often and feel like I am making great progress.

Keep pushing through. You will be fine in no time!!!

Now I am 4 weeks out and I am still not able to sleep on my tummy. I talked to my dr. and he said that it's becauseI had the band removed then 5 weeks later had the sleeve done with the open procedure. He said 8-10 weeks for tummy sleeping since the cut is from my belly button to bra line.

I am in high hopes that this will get better FAST I am struggling keeping active since I am getting so tired during the day from waking up all the time.

Hope you guys are doing good!
