So I'm starting my pre op liquids Friday and looking for any suggestions/help get to get thru it.

I keep reminding me its short term pain for long term gain but lets face it side effects can be brutal such as migraines and fatigue.

Any help you can give is highly appreciated!!

I start mine Saturday for a monday surgery so I feel you. Let me give you what i was told by my office:

2 Days Prior to surgery :

NO CHEW diet. Full Liquid diet. I can have

- Dannon Lite & fit with NO FRUIT ON THE BOTTOM or FRUIT CHUNKS;

- SUGAR FREE pudding

- Cream soup with the PIECES OF STUFF DRAINED OUT

- SUGAR FREE ice pops

1 Day Prior to Surgery:

FULL Liquid diet ( you can also have these 2 days before)

- Coffee / Tea with splenda but NO milk or sugar

- Vitamin water but NO gatorade or nothing red / purple

- Clear popsicles

- Diet Snapple

- Propel

- Water with or without crystal lite

- LIGHT COLORED juice like Apple, White Cranberry or White grape

- Broth

Yeah no fun but just think how amazing you will feel after a month !! Good luck. OH a big thing was dont eat anything with red or purple dye in it.

You can also take Tylenol extra strength for the migraines.

NOTHING after midnight on the day of your surgery.

GOOD LUCK. Will be thinking of you !!

Are you only on it for 2 days prior to surgery?

I start mine tomorrow (Friday) and surgery is Wednesday 8/29.

I went out last night and got EVERYTHING and my stomachs growling just looking at it lol. Thank god for protein shakes lol.

I get really bad migraines from sweetners so i'm sure i'll be taking tylenol like candy.

Oh well its only short term and thinking of me skinny and healthy is whats getting me thru this.

If your surgery is MOnday good luck, I"ll be thinking of you, keep me posted!!
