Alright so today is my first day in the pre-op diet and so far so good. I haven't felt hungry after the shakes but I am starting to feel a little bit shaky and with a headache. I am hoping that by the 3rd or 4th day my body has adjusted.

I'm right there with ya on day one. I felt great this morning and now that it's 5, I feel like I'm in a mental fog and definitely have a headache. I'm so worried I won't make it through two long weeks and I am not going to Pinterest for at least that long.. too many gorgeous photos of food!

How long is your pre op for? I've read of others having all meals replaced with shakes but allowed one serving of lean protein and leafy veggies, and I'd kill for that right now.

I had to do liquids pre-op for 2 weeks and felt HORRIBLE for the first 3-4 days. Then, all of a sudden I was so energized and felt great for the duration. Hang in there....it gets better!

I was very apprehensive about the 2 week pre op diet. I didn't think I would be able to do it. Funny thing is a couple of days in it was no big deal. I set a timer for each shake. 7:30 - Wake and Shake, 11:30 - Shake It up, 3:30 - Shake, Rattle and Roll, 7:30 - Rock a Bye Shaky. I know a bit corny but it gave me focus. Do you get chicken broth. I will admit this was the one area that I changed up a bit. Instead of chicken broth from the store I made it with bullion cubes. Actually less calories so i talked myself having 2 cups instead of one. It must not have hurt too bad I ended up loosing 23 lbs on the pre op diet. Just get you a plan whatever it needs to be and stick to it. Make it a routine and you will do great.

Good info maxskillz. I haven't started my pre-op yet, mine is 5 days. I used to fast a long time ago for a week, 2 weeks and the longest is a month. The first 2 to 3 days are the most challenging but after that (or at some point) you start to feel a high like you can do it all your life. I am hopeful I will experience this when I start my pre-op on 8/18. My biggest challenge is I will be on an 8 day cruise..at least it starts toward the end of the cruise. Good luck but make it fun like Maxskillz. Keep us posted.
