I read a lot of posts and I see that we all have the same issues at some time or another.

Of course, every time I lose even one pound I am positive and when I dont I doubt.

Today is a positive day.hehehe

I am 217 today and I am happy!

In this blog I process externally (I dont really know how to be an internal processor..lol) The ups and downs of this journey is very real and when I have down time I read about my up times and then I can breathe again and wait....the weight losses come when they do.I eat right and wait.

Yesterday I started doing leg exercises...a little. And I can feel it.Today,I will do upper body and lower body.Cardio will have to wait until I am cold free again.

This is definately a battle. You have to be mentally prepared. I forget not to chug water, but when I get so full I throw up it reminds me. I also struggle with weight loss. I am 7 weeks post-op, and haven't really seen a weight drop, if I have, maybe it was a pound. I can't help but think I'm not going to lose anymore. I hope this isn't ongoing, but it's still early. you'll make it, just keep doing what you are doing, and think positive, and everything will fall in place.

Best wishes,

I am at 214 and am happy about it. I seem to lose about 8 pounds quickly and then get stuck there for 2 weeks. I guess that's the way my body is fighting me.... Just trying to get used to it and hopefuly in about a month I will see onderland!!!

Menallty prepared is what I've been for months prior to my surgery. I have been dillegent with what my pre-op, post-op and now soft food diets. It's been almost 5 weeks post-op and I've only lost 15 lbs. I haven't lost anything for almost 10 days... I hear of so many who lose 30 lbs or more their first month and are elated with this new found energy. I'm still wondering when all this wonderful energy is supposed to kick in. I still can't seem to get up enough steam to exercise regularly. Especially after working all day. I get home and fall asleep before 6:00 pm.

Most of the time I try to stay positive and I'm very glad I've lost some weight, but it's a daily struggle. Being regular is my biggest challenge. It seem like even with as little as I'm eating, that everything goes in and absolutely nothing comes out... I'm not sure if that is a big deal or not, because I don't know if this is normal, but it seems to me that you can't just keep taking in food and lose weight without letting some of it go.

I hope this is only beginner's bad luck syndrome and things will pick up with the progress.

@LzL ....it will come with time. I did not have the 30 lbs per month loss either and had days I thought "I will fail at this as well". But I didn't fail! I am now 5 months out and down 60 lbs. I weigh 175 pounds now! I have not seen that number in 20 years. I tell myself if I had lost these 60 lbs in 3 months I would just have more loose flabby skin, but today I am totally happy in my body! Keep your chin up.

Hi Randi,

That is exactly how I lose.I stall for 10 days to 2 weeks and then drop 8-10 pounds fast, sometimes even a little more....then,stuck for 2 weeks again,it drives me nuts though.I would much rather just lose .2 every day.Something, anything I could see on the scale. But what can you do,it is what it is.xxo
