Stalled

I have been stalled for two weeks (weeks 3 and 4). I am very discouraged. I am staying on the diet to the letter, and I am getting in all my proteins and fluids. I would really like to hear about others who are stalled, and who have been stalled. I would like to know how long your stalls were, and after the stall, how much wt. did you start losing? HELP

I slowed down around week 3/4 also. My Dr Office said it is not a "stall". We kept doing the normal with protein, liquids, vitamins etc and then looked at each month and I am losing about 7-8 pounds a month and as long as this keeps up they said I am doing good. I feel like when I go 2 weeks and stay the same something is wrong, however then all of a sudden I will drop 2 or 3 pounds then stay at that weight for awhile. It is a weird feeling though because I of course want it to pour off me. But you know when I look back in my journal and see that I am down 48 1/2 pounds and it is gone. I do not bounce up on the scale at all. I noticed once I lose it, it is gone. Very cool thing with all my past yo yo diet stuff. I am loving every moment of this journey. Do I still feel like I am the only one this isn't working right for? Yes but I am feeling so much better with every pound gone. Hang in there and keep up what the doctor and nutritionist tel you. It will keep coming off. Good Luck

Hi Vicki - I will be 6 wks postop tomorrow. I too stalled around wk 3. I lost 1 pound in 3 wks. Very discouraging. Then this week, I got on the scale and lost another pound. The next day, 1 more. Everyone is different. I want to see loss every day! As a matter of fact, It would be nice to weigh in the morning and night and see loss both times lol......Hang in there. I call this a real roller coaster ride!

Some have stated that when they have come to a stall they changed their exercise routine up. If they walked for thirty minutes they walked fourty-five and then they would increase the pace a little more. I hope this helps.

I have had the same stall only very early in the game, and to make matters worse, even though i am staying at 500-600 cal, it it the end of week 3 and i have actually gained 3 pounds. I am just about beside myself and cannot figure out what is going on. I am managing almost all my fluids and not exercising much at this point. I am very discouraged. Had my surgery Aug 2 and was down from 275 to 261 at some point but then back up to 263...definitely going in the wrong direction . I sure didn't expect this so early in the process. any comments would be helpful
