Will I Get The Call Today?

Whew, this process was so long for me (12 months) and now I'm waiting on the insurance company to call. My surgeons office called Friday and said they put through all the paperwork. The scheduler told me a month ago that my insurance company is one of the easiest to work with because they respond in 24-48 hours. Well, today is the 2nd day. Wouldn't you know that I have to attend a work retreat today! So I figured out how to forward my work phone to my cell phone, that way when I'm on a break, I can check for messages. I tell ya, it seems like it's taking forever but I know it's only been two days! I guess it's because I had to go through this lengthy process of counseling for 12 months. Keeping my fingers crossed that I get the call today! ;-)

Good luck Ssilian. I had the six month counseling and I have been approved and Thursday I find out the surgery date. I can only imagine how you feel after going through all this a year!!

I just received my approval letter today, though I was approved verbally (I had to call) a week ago Monday.

Good luck, closer every day.

I had a six month wait also. My paperwork was turned in last Friday also. I was told my insurance usually takes one - two weeks to approve. "Patiently" waiting.

Well wait no more and do what I did and give your insurance company a call. I knew before my doctor did.By the time they called to notify me I had already had a hallelujah party in my workstation. !!!!!

I would call yourself. It's what I did. They don't normally call you, they send you out a letter. IF you call them you can get the verbal approval, call your surgeon and let them know and they can get the ball rolling on anything else you need to do. The letter will eventually come in the mail.

Well you guys were right. I called the insurance company a few weeks ago and they told me before the Dr.'s office did. !
