2 Months And 49Lbs Down

Shemy-away

Yesterday marked 60 days post sleeve. Sometimes I forget that I lost 80% of my stomach until I eat a bite too many. Life is pretty much the same as before, but Im much more active adn happy. I've had so much going on in the past 2 months. I'm down 49 pounds since the start of this journey. I'm almost HALFWAY to my goal!!! I'm graduating from Nursing school in 2 weeks and hopefully I will start my job in June.

Despite the rough times, despite missing soda, and despite the second surgery I had to have for my gallbladder, this is the best thing I've ever done for myself.

I still haven't told anyone in my family except for my husband and mother in law and I plan to keep it that way. When people ask me what I've been doing, I'll just say exercising and watching my portions. I still eat the same except for bread, pasta, and sodas, so technically I'm not lying :)

that's great! I just met my goal weight and I am waiting to meet with my case manager to set my surgery date. Not going to lie, I am terrified! I have never had surgery and I have my fears! I admire your bravery! keep up the good work! :)

VeronicaH and Delta_35 I'm so happy to hear that my story is inspiring! This was my goal, to let others know that they too can have success!!

VeronicaH you will be terrified until the minute they put you to sleep but trust me in the end it is worth it!

Delta_35, good luck to you!! I will keep you in my prayers! I can't wait to see you both on the loser's bench!

I am so excited for you. I am only six days post-op my surgery. I am looking forward to being where you are in your weight loss. So far I am walking and trying to work my way up to walk a mile and a half. I know I will get there in time everyone keep telling me not to push it, and I am not but I can't sit around and wait to heal as some would like me to do. I feel like I need to get it going and keep it going. I hope you don't mind me following you because you have become a great inspiration for me. I might even ask for some advice from time to time. Congratulations to you and keep up the great work.

Thank you so much. How did you handle the Head Hunger Beast? I feel like I am getting better but let me tell you by day 3 that monster reared HER UGLY HEAD and I thought I was going to lose my mind.

ChrisECWest, I tried my best to stay busy. I know you keep hearing it but sip sip sip water and walk walk walk. find whatever it is that you love to do (for me it was reading and video games). Being that your 6 dpo, I'm assuming you are still on a liquid diet?

Yes I am and I start the second stage on Thursday. I have been walking a lot because I don't want to get weak. I am consistently sipping water and it has helped me as well. I do notice the more I sip the less the BEAST visits me.
