Struggles With-In.

I feel like I'm losing steam lately. Don't get me wrong I'm still 100 % committed to this new lifestyle, I guess I just feel like there's soo many directions I'm being pulled in. It's getting easier to lose sight of myself. I'm focusing soo much on my nutrition and excersize, that It's starting to stress me out, and I can't understand why! I mean I want this for myself, I want to start living and expierence life for once, but at this point all I'm expierencing is appointment after appointment. Going to the gym, nutritionist, bariatric nurse, theripist, and what have you. And I know it's just part of the process and I'm really trying to push through but I feel like I'm going through this on my own. My support team (mom and sister) are great but they can't fully understand what I'm really doing with this change. I think I've been wayy too absent on the message boards and this site, maybe if i get more active I'll build my steam back up :)

My wife and her family eat anything and everything and are skinny as rails. They have no idea what or why I did what I did and I can't really expect them to. In a way, I'm happy they don't understand as I would not wish an obese life on anybody knowing the struggles internal and external I have dealt with my entire life. It has been an independent journey, but now that I have lost so much weight, they are seeing the person I have always wanted to be and they are now understanding. It's one of those things, I think, that they can't see until you are on the other side. But until then, you just need to push through it and know the rewards will be coming.

They have been supportive because they love me, but that doesn't mean they understand, and that is OK.

agreed - you don't have to be knowledgeable about something to support someone in their struggles.

Activity here can definitely help. Having someone to bounce things off of seriously does help - I can definitely say that :)

Just Do It! You have come this far and now it's not the time to give up. This is part of your new life. Focus on all those things your doing and it will be habitual. Just Do It is what I go by. Your mom and sister will see the change in you and will then get some understanding. They love you and will be there for you. They will even learn from you.

CONGRATS on your new you.... ;)

What point are you at? I can say I felt the same way in the very begining. Once I had the surgery my focus was clear. Eat Protein, then veggies, take vitamins and get excersise. That's my life now. Its no longer overwhelming but it is always there. I get to this site at least once a day, it does help. Your not alone.. and I've found the people on this site very helpful. Hang in and Check in. This will give you good support

I'm in my 6 month pre surgery as required by insurance, almost 4 months in. It does help to get on here and interact with others going through or who went through the whole process.
