I agree with the comments. This was not an easy decision to make so for friends/family that want to comment, if it's not positive or they don't agree please keep that to self. I have enough going through my head that i don't need any extra BS. I understand the concern and get that they really care for us but as Dooter said, they don't have to live in your body.

I went to three (3) seminars before finally making the decision to go for it. Since I can't seem to exercise self control on my own, I'm going to use a tool that will help me with that....

Please don't listen to your friends and family on this. At your height and weight you are obese. I know friends and family don't want to see you hurt, and they are mostly scared that the surgery may hurt you. But your weight will ultimately hurt you in the end.

Your family loves you and are afraid of loosing you. Subconsiously they are trying to keep the family in a status quo which is harmful in the long run. You know what you need to do to have a more meaningful life. This body you are trapped in right now is not permanent. I hope you make the right choice for you and not for them. This is a doable thing.

I'm sure your friends and family have your best interest at heart but like you said you have to do what's best for you. Everybody is different. You know how you want to feel and what you want to look like so why not go for it?! I say pray about it, talk it over with people you trust - ones that will support your decision, and then do what's best for you. Whatever you decide, I wish you all the best!
