Cmdr: You will do fine!! I started my PreOP diet and did the labs and xray yesterday. I am already admitted to the hospital but have to complete the 14 day diet and basically ready for surgery--if you have excellence in your doctor and staff there is no need for worry. Mine will be revision surgery--bypass to sleeve. It is going to take awhile in the hospital and recovery time in hospital and at home, but I am a tough egg, too. I do heal easily, too. I would think it hard for you to switch roles from doctor to patient--step back and focus on improving your health and longevity with this surgical procedure. May 31st is my day for surgery; I am ready, have excellent surgeon and his staff, and the hospital is very nice and close to my house!! Could not ask for anything better than that!!!
