TWO weeks post-op

Well, I survived the Sleeve surgery. I've become totally into this site and check it several times a day, looking for answers and just people who share what I'm going through. Trying to start to eat things and get back to normal. Sometimes I forget that I'm NOT normal anymore!!! I go to just pop something in my mouth, and I stop myself and say wait a minute... can't have that yet. I'd really like to get a real blog going here, but I need to learn how to use all of these bells and whistles!!

I am 5 days out now. Last night watching Chopped I think I might have had a few hunger twinges. Hard to say! Definitely no real hunger or desire to eat. I stick to my dr's plan and food is just a chore to complete right now. Good luck!

On Sept 24th, I went into the hosptal to have the gastric bypass but got the sleeve instead. My Dr told me to do the Stage 1 Full Liquid Diet for 3 weeks. Drinking out of the 2 ounce cups every 15 minutes or until I get in my 40 oz of fluid in a day. Yesterday went in for my 2 week check up and was told I was doing great. I've lost 25 pounds since my surgery. I'm down to 408. This is the one thing I'm bound and determined to do. I can't wait to see myself down to 350 right now. Yes, I'm hungry also. I"m oh so ready for some real food. Well Good luck to you all.

hi, i just had my surgery september 22, 2010 and i am never hungry. and i haven't had any cravings. i know it's different with everyone though so i can't say that is the way it will be with you. i do make sure i eat three times a day even when that is only an ounce to 1/4 cup of food at each meal. right now i am eating pureed foods and they sit kind of heavy on the stomach and i stay full longer. i hope everything goes great with your surgery as did mine. i couldn't be happyier. good luck

I have been approved for the sleeve set for after the new year. I need to know more about the protein shakes. What about baby food with a lil sea salt and black pepper? How hard is the pre op diet? I've been reading the comments and ppl are losing weight fast. Didn anyone which the story on Nightline Oct. 25, 2010? How the sleeve the the best choice of all the operations. The doctor in the south is the best around.
