A Turning Point - My Journey
I have struggled with my weight for most of my life. I have gone up and down for the past 5 years, and finally enough is enough.
I struggle with chronic pain in my neck and back (and just about my entire body) and I am sure losing 100 pounds would make a big difference.
My daughter and I are doing this journey together. We went to orientation on 9/27 and on 10/15 have our appoint with the surgeon.
I weighed a whopping 221 at orientation. I am looking forward to see what Dr Baggs has to say about how much weight he wants me to lose.
Since orientation, I have lost 8 pounds and I am determined to stick to the pre op plan so I do not derail my progress.
My hardest hurdles so far (other than being hungry) has been waiting an hour after eating to drink something. How sad is it that I actually sat my timer to tell me when I can drink something. My other challenge is the boring breakfast, you can only eat some many eggs.:biggrin0:
