Motivation

So tomorrow is my weigh day. Those of you who follow my blog might remember so far I've lost 35 pounds. 2 inches in my hips and 2 in my waist....but since my abscess, I've not really been doing any organized form of exercise. I have a state of the art treadmill in my living room that I just can't bring myself to get on...grrrrr. I can't do any ab workouts because of this wound...and I think I've been using that as my ticket to get out of exercising. ok. there. I said it. So as I'm typing this, I'm looking at my treadmill (cursing it) But I think that I am going to get on it today. I have to start somewhere! Why is it so hard to get MOTIVATED to exercise??

I struggle with the same issue. I am good for a week or two about hitting the gym, and then it's a total crapshoot.

Sometimes I look at my pre-op pics for some motivation. That really gets my hiney out of the recliner.

Good luck with getting motivated! I find that if I exercise it has to be something I really enjoy doing. My husband bought me an elliptical machine one Valentine's day (how romantic) and a home gym at another time and I just never could build a routine using this equipment. I signed up for 1 month at the gym in November just to see if this time would be different...it wasn't and I was very happy to not be locked into a year contract and waste all that money.
