Journey of Changes

Well, now it has almost been a month since the surgery. I am able to eat regularly, probably too regularly! I overdid it on Christmas and REALLY overdid it on New Years to the point that I felt sick. I have not threw up or anything but I have found that I eat less than I used to and I don't really binge or eat late at night anymore. I have lost a total of twelve pounds since the beginning of my weight loss journey, however, I probably gained half of that back over the holiday. I go for my first fill tomorrow and am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things. I am going through so many changes right now and sometimes its difficult not to rely on food while dealing with these changes. Brian and I are in the process of buying a new home. I am stressing over getting financing ready, downpayment ready, old house sold, debating on whether to finish school, to work or stay at home with kids, dealing with the lap band, dealing with eating and drinking separately and using the band the way its supposed to be used, incorporating excercise into my schedule, being the best mother, wife, and friend that I can be, dealing with Brian being unavailable most of the week due to his occupation without using food as my crutch, wondering whether we should move as soon as we buy our new home or stick around and allow Courtney to finish up school here this semester to ease her in the transistion, etc. So many changes, so many things to think about. I am a bit overwhelmed with everything and am increasing my intake of food; especially junk food like chocolate and crackers and chips. I have to find a more productive way to deal with stress and changes. I have already lost twelve pounds and would like to continue to successfully lose the weight. I am going to continue to pray for strength during this journey of changes.
