Hi there friendly bandsters ~

I decided to give it a shot at blogging.

I have been banded just about 6 weeks and what an awesome ride! I am not new to WLS as I had the gastric bypass in 8/2003 and had great success with it. However, over the next 7 years I had to have 6 back surgeries causing me to regain 80lbs of the 250lbs I had lost. Since then, I have added 30 extra pounds to that total. I decided that something more had to be done and sought out have the the bypass "revised". I was told the best option was to do the lap band. I am so grateful that I chose to go that route.

I am learning how to live again. How to eat right and how to take better care of my body. I read on a blog that "if you take care of your band, it will take care of you" - author unknown. But that is so stinking true.

I hope to blog everyday just to help me focus on myself for a change and my new found life. I am not out to offend anyone or anything like that but to just document my journey and to have something to come back to for reference when the times get tough.

Signing off for the night.

Blessings to all ~

Shanna

Welcome to the blog. Glad to hear you're taking care of yourself after so many surgeries. I have an awful back but so far surgery was not mentioned.

We are all here to listen and we do not judge but try to help. We try to answer all questions and will say to you when needed-go to the doctor.

Good luck.
