Countdown To 1St Fill

Hi everyone!

I survived my Hematoma complication. It meant 10 days of bleeding through my incision, but luckily it ended up being more of an annoyance than anything else. I'm back on track :-) and counting down to my first fill.

I've been on mushies for 7 days now, and even though the weight is still coming off, (down 29lbs total, 9lbs post op) aonce some real food was introduced it has been slower, as expected. I've been able to eat eggs and even a couple of bites of rice with no issue. Truthfully, nothing has created much of an issue for me so far.

In 10 days I get my first fill, can't wait honestly. I am getting hungrier each day. I'm eating my small portion of food for the day but the *fullness* is lasting max 2 hours if that. I no longer feel tight in the mornings either. My stomach grumbles all the time now and I find myself day dreaming about food. So holding on with sheer willpower!!

Glad to hear your bleeding is over with. That really was awful. I just got my first fill on Friday, 2 months after my banding. So for 3 days I was on shakes again and the weight comes off fast. Now until Thursday it's back to soft foods. Then Thursday, my birthday, I am on Stage 5 for life. Can't wait to have lobster again. My stomach never stops grumbling, especially when I go to bed at night. I don't dream of food anymore. My husband said to me today about taking small pieces of some of my favorite foods but I didn't do this to be bad.

I am going to try pizza this weekend. I do miss that a lot.

Stay positive and think thin!

That sounds awful. It so hard to stay focused when you are HUNGRY. I am so impressed with you for sharing all this and hanging in there. Hopefully the fill will do the trick.

Thanks for the support!! Today has been better, maybe because I got myself mentally focused once more and a job that is keeping me busy. I have to say overall that I am lucky that the weight came off so quickly, but then again its hard to accept a more normal reality once that happens.

dylanmiles23 - Have a great birthday!! Just think of the amazing things that will happen this year.

So glad you are doing better..I had my surgery august 24th and I went in last week for a fill and was sent straight to the hospital for emergency surgery. It all went fine but I am back on two weeks of liquid diet and I am so hungry. I understand how you feel I am finding things to do to pass the time but it was a set back. I will be back on treadmill tonight and try to lose weight but it has been rough..since the set back...I will now get my first fill on Oct. 24th and I am so ready..Good luck to you and wishing you all the best..
