today was my Surgery and honestly I was scared to death he wouldn't perform the surgery because I was only able to loose 9 lbs instead of 12 on the pre-op diet. but after talking he agreed to do it. the surgery went well the doctor found a Hiatil Hernia in the process and fixed it. I think that hurts more than the band does. the Co2 gas is killing me! I'm trying to move around as much as possible but I'm so uncomfortable. And lying down makes to worse. I've gotten down one shake and my fluids. Not sure how sleep will go.

I will be starting my pre-op diet tomorrow and I too am scared to death that I won't lose the 10 pounds they are asking me to lose. Do you have any tips or words of advice to help tha along? Maybe take a walk everyday? Drink more water??

Very nice to hear that someone else had the hernia repaired. My stomach was also in the wrong place so both got fixed and a large cyst was removed from my chest. I have 6 scars from everything but without the hernia and stomach repaired I was taking 6 pills a day to eat without pain or coughing. Walk as much as you can. I don't do it enough. I drink a lot of iced decaf tea with Splenda. That is a down fall of mine. I drink 6-10 glasses a day.Keep up the work. I am down 50lbs. from my high in March and was banded 6 weeks ago. Best thing I ever did!
