This is the most wonderful and emotional feeling in the world...Yesterday i put on a pair of 18 jeans and I almost cried, it was good tears... im finally under 200 lbs and it excites me everytime someone notices, friends and other family members, it was really getting to me because i got all these positive comments from everyone else except my husband, untill yesterday i saw my husbands face light up when i walked into a room, with my size 18 jeans and a lg not a 2x shirt and he told me that i looked so beautiful and different i wanted to cry to se that he noticed and finally made a comment.. I dont think im asking to much but i luv hearing that my spouse makes a positve comment towards me...( am I??) i had a slip up and was sick last night, learned my lesson, but i feel fine today and it a new day to stay on the right track not giving up... each month or every other month i want to get a smaller size of jeans when they get loose and have a new goal (what do u think?)

Great story!!!!! Keep it up. You were banded one week before me. I know what you're talking about with wearing a smaller size. I just keep going clothes shopping in my closet. I was in either a size 18 or 20 jeans and now my small 18's fit well with room. My husband has been telling me almost every day how great I am looking. I really don't see it except with clothes but my face went down. I slipped up yesterday and ate too fast. Never again. It felt awful.A woman in my support group said to buy clothes at consignment stores because you change sizes so fast. I haven't done any shopping yet.

Have a great weekend.

That's AWESOME! I think it's great when people start noticing because it makes your confidence go up, and makes you get fuzzies all over. Good for you!!!

I can't wait to get back into my Size 18 (and then less). I'm currently at a size 22 (227.6pds), and have almost 30 pds to lose before I can get back into them. Looking forward to that feeling!

Aren't smaller clothes great! I was banded April 23rd and wore 28/30. I am down 65 pounds (plus 20 prior to surgery) and this week I bought a pair of stretch jeans 18/20 I couldn't believe they fit!!!!! I tried the 22/24's and my daughter said "no mom, those are too big", what a super comment lol (she didn't know what sizes I brought in to try). I'm a 22/24 tops so far. But even that is a wonderful improvement. I met a lady in support group who gave me all her 22/24 tops now that she is an 18, what a blessing that was :)

My son tells me I look great and that he is very proud of me. Music to my ears.

way to go ! its a great feeling when your pants start sliding off your rear end, isnt it ???? suddenly it was , i cant wear that anymore, its too big !!!! wow !!! ..............it was beyond shocking when i went frm a size 18-1x to a 16, now 14, and some 12's ! unbelievable, but it WILL happen to you too ! iwas banded Dec13th, 2011, down 55 lbs with about 30 to go. So, start shopping at Goodwill or other 2nd hand stores. i get 90% of my clothes there, shop once a week, and try to look for clothes that you will grow into this winter, not that just fit now. Then on a morning when you are standing in your underware because NOTHING fits, you can be very happy "shopping your closet" for smaller sizes. I get LOTS of compliments on my nice clothes (Im 54!) and how i look, and trust me, it never gets old !! (im happily married, get lots of support and compliments from hubby, but the first time a male aqaintance noticed my weight loss and said "girl, you are smokin !!!!" i just about wet my pants !!!! ) It will happen to you too , so keep up the good work !! Good luck !
